Fidelity Security Options
Fidelity Security design their security systems around your personal needs. This means that everyone’s system will be different. However, we can give you an overview of what kind of security options Fidelity has to offer you as a customer. Here are some of the services you can expect from Fidelity:
- Installation and monitoring of a full range of home alarm systems, including CCTV, perimeter fencing, motion detectors and more traditional burglar alarms;
- Access to highly trained (according to the Fidelity website) armed response teams controlled by a centralized monitoring station that monitors alarms and cameras 24 hours a day;
- Residential estate guarding.
The Fidelity Security website does not give a lot of details about their security systems unfortunately, but they do reference flexible systems that are designed to your personal needs.
How Are Customer Reviews for Fidelity Security?
The consumer review website Hellopeter lists 33 reviews concerning Fidelity Security Services from the last year. This is a very low number of reviews. Of these, 29 are negative. These negative reviews seem to center mostly around customer service issues, though there are a couple of complaints about Fidelity being slow to respond to alarms. These numbers could be a little misleading though. Firstly, several of the reviews seem to have been posted by ex-employees and are complaining about employment issues such as unpaid salaries, which obviously won't be a concern for a customer. Secondly, there are simply so few reviews that it's difficult to judge how consumers feel about Fidelity's services, especially considering that people are more likely to file complaints than they are to criticize.
How User Friendly is the Fidelity Website?
The Fidelity website is sleek and modern, and is neatly divided into sections, making it easy to find the kind of security that you’re looking for. There isn’t an awful lot of detailed information available about Fidelity’s security systems, but that may be understandable in a security company since they may not want detailed information to fall into the wrong hands. Fidelity do give a clear overview of their services, however. The only small issue that we had is that there are a lot of animations on the Fidelity website, which could make it slow or difficult to run on older computers. In general though, we found this site to be a fairly user friendly experience.
Fidelity Security in Conclusion
Fidelity Security are the largest empowered security company in South Africa, and they offer a wide range of security solutions to customers. Whilst consumer reviews may not seem great, there were mitigating factors such as some of the complaints being filed by ex-employees of the company rather than by consumers themselves. Home security is obviously an important decision, and it’s a good idea to go to several companies for quotes before deciding. And don’t forget that once you have your system installed you’ll want to contact your home insurer. Many insurance companies will lower your monthly household insurance premiums when you install an alarm system, meaning that you can off-set some of the initial cost of your system.
